The Department of Gynecology at Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine was established in 1954. After 70 years of continuous efforts by several generations, it has become a key disciplinespecialty of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a national regional TCM (Gynecology) diagnosistreatment center, the Jiangsu Provincial TCM GynecologyReproductive Clinical Medicine Innovation Center,the Jiangsu Provincial TCM Gynecology Quality Control Center.

Emphasis on ResearchTeaching: The department undertakes 18 national-level projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, 16 provincial-level projects,39 departmental-level projects, with many of its research outcomes filling gaps in the domestic field. The TCM Gynecology course has been awarded first-class status by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education.
