Specialized Diseases DiagnosisTreatment
(1) Standardized Treatment for Complex AnorectalPelvic Floor Diseases: The department routinely performs surgeries for complex anorectal conditions, such as sphincter-preserving surgery for complex anal fistulas. It pioneered surgeries in China, including the "deep gluteal elevation procedure" for pilonidal sinus, perineal surgery for rectal prolapse, complex sacral tumor surgeries. Additionally, it introduced the anal circular resection technique for treating severe analrectal stenosis. The department also actively applies laparoscopic minimally invasive techniques for radical colorectal cancer surgeriespelvic floor disease repairs.
(2) One-Stop DiagnosisTreatment for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD): By integrating multidisciplinary resources, including the Proctology Department, the Department of SpleenStomach Diseases, the Digestive Endoscopy Center, the Ultrasound Imaging Department, the Pathology Department, the department has established a multidisciplinary IBD diagnosistreatment team. It leverages the unique advantages of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to promote a patient-centered, comprehensive diagnosistreatment model.
(3) Comprehensive Surgical Treatment for Complex Intestinal Diseases: Under the guidance of Professor Zhu Weiming, the department has established a surgical treatment team for complex intestinal diseases (such as short bowel syndrome, intestinal fistula, bowel obstruction, abdominal abscess,radiation-induced intestinal injury). The team provides individualized pre-surgery rehabilitation, post-surgery recurrence preventionmonitoring, precise nutritional management, exercise rehabilitation, specialized TCM techniques. This approach ensures full-cycle, high-quality disease management from "diagnosis - treatment - rehabilitation" for various complex, critical patients.
