Located at 200 Xianlin Avenue, Qixia District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine Zidong campus is a collaborative project built by Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine, Qixia District of People’s Government,Xianlin University Town Management Committee. It was fully putoperation on February 22, 2022. The first phase of the Zidong campus covers an area of approximately 68.25 acres, with a total construction area of about 150,000 square metersa total of 800 beds.
In line with the integratedstandardized requirements of the main campus, the Zidong campus integrates nationalprovincial key specialtiesfocuses on building "One Hospital with Three Centers" in its first phase—advanced Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnosistreatment, integrative oncology,multidisciplinary treatment centers for critical careobstetrics/reproductive health.
The Zidong campus offers outpatientemergency services, inpatient wards,medical examination facilities. All departments extend from those at the main campus, with an addition of obstetrics department. The inpatient areas prioritize high-quality medical disciplines from the main campus and emphasize on compassionate care. An advanced intelligent information system has been established to ensure synchronized communication between the main and other campuses.
By leveraging the strengths of high-quality TCM disciplinesspecialized talent from the main campus, the Zidong campus aims to provide comprehensive and lifelong services to the community using a "large specialty with new comprehensives" development model, striving to become a benchmark for the TCM industry akin to the Mayo Clinic.
The second phase of the Zidong campus construction has been selected as a national project for heritageinnovation. It will focus on clinical practice, supported by researchtalent development,will include a research ward, biological resource information sample library, evidence-based TCM research base, multidisciplinary integration research platform, ancient literature excavation application information library,talent training base. Once completed, Phase II will become a new highlight in the development of healthcare in Qixia District, Xianlin University Town, Nanjing,even Jiangsu Province during the 14th Five-Year Plan, and will fully commit to create a highland for the inheritanceinnovation of TCM that tightly integrates medicine, industry, education, research,applications.
