To leverage the unique advantages of profound TCM resources in Jiangsu and to promote the dissemination of TCM culture overseas, Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation, in collaboration with Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine, held the "Warm Spring in the Apricot Grove: Gathering Global Expat Leaders to Promote International Development of TCM" event in Nanjing on May 23, 2024. Approximately 40 participants attended the event, including Ai Hui, the vice chair of Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation, Wu Wenzhong, the president of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine, Chen Renshou, the director of TCM Literature Research Institute at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Sun Wei, the chief scientist at Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicinea renowned TCM expert, Zhou Huifang, the vice president of Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Chinese Federations International Cultural Exchange Promotion Association, and overseas expat leaders, participated in the 2024 Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Association Gathering. The event was hosted by He Zhongjian, the vice president of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine.
During the event, Ai Hui delivered an important speech while Wu Wenzhong welcomed the guestsprovided an overview of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine. Chang Cheng, the director of TCM Huiqiao Base, discussed the hospitals recent efforts to support overseas Chinese communities. Professors Chen Renshou, Sun Wei,Zhou Huifang shared insights on topics such as "The HistoryCultural Heritage of Jiangsu TCM," "Sino-French TCM ExchangePromotion,""Sharing TCM Culture Both DomesticallyInternationally." Chen Zhen, the president of CentralEastern European TCM Culture Association, introduced experiences in promoting TCM overseas, particularly focusing on the process of promoting TCM cultureits legislative support in Hungary.
Participating overseas leaders expressed that TCM is a treasure of Chinese culturea testament to the wisdom of Chinese nation. As leaders of overseas Chinese organizations, they committed to spreading the stories of TCMTCM culture worldwide, contributing to the international development of TCM.
