On October 21, 2023, the closing ceremony for the 2023 "Family Bonds with China, Charm of Jiangsu" TCM Culture Overseas Promotion Seminar was held in Zhenjiang. This event was co-hosted by Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Chinese FederationJiangsu Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine as the organizer.
Approximately 40 participants attended the ceremony, including Ai Hui, vice chair of Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation; Wu Wenzhong, president of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine; Wang Yongxin, president of the Zhenjiang Overseas Chinese Federation;representatives of overseas TCM practitionersexpatriates from 15 countries. The ceremony was hosted by Lu Jing, the director of the Department of Cultural Exchange of the Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation.
Representatives Liu Jinhong, vice president of the Canadian TCM Acupuncture Alliance,Li Jieru, head of the Li Doctor Clinic in the UK, shared their reflections on learning experience. Leaders at the event presented completion certificates to the seminar participants.
The seminar lasted for six daysincluded two specialized lectures by Professor Chen Renshou from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, along with theoretical courses taught by four experts from Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine, including Liu LanyingZhang Shinian. Participants also engaged in clinical teaching with six experts, including Wu WenzhongWang Hesheng, at Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine. They visited TCM Museum at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicinethe herbal medicine base at Maoshan Kangyuan Health Valley,conducted on-site inspections at Maanshan Jingquan Herbal Preparation Base of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine. Additionally, they participated in Chinese Cuisine Health Seminar 2023had discussions with seminar participants, including President Wu Wenzhong.
Participants stated that they have gained valuable TCM knowledgeformed genuine friendships through the learning experience, instilling confidence in the development of TCM abroad. They pledged to promote TCM culture vigorously upon returning, strengthen international cooperation,advance the inheritancedevelopment of TCM overseas for the benefit of people worldwide.
